Plantain Flour

Our Plantain Flour is made from only non-GMO plantains, grown across Africa and the Caribbean’s. The peels of each plantain is removed by hand and the plantains are washed in spring water before sun-drying for a naturally sweet, sun-kissed flavour. After which, the dried plantains are milled into fine flour.

INGREDIENTS: Green Plantain

PREPARATION:

To create a delicious and highly nutritious meal. Boil 3/4 cup of water or fresh milk in a saucepan. Add 1 tsp of Cinnamon, 1 tsp of Coconut Oil, 1tsp of Honey and with a wooden spatula, stir in 1 cup of Plantain flour; stir well till a lump free dough is formed. Add another 1/2 cup of water to the dough, reduce the heat and cover. Leave to cook for a further 3-5 minutes. Knead the dough again until smooth and velvety. Serve hot with a stew or accompaniment of your choice. (You can always add more Flour or Water, depending on your desired texture and consistency).
